Not 100% sure where to put this, it's kind of a grey area. Anyway, been playing Otogi:Myth of Demons by Sega for the original Xbox. If you've still got your original Xbox I recommend picking this one up for sure. The in game instructions and manual are a little vague on what exactly your suppose to be doing but after a little trial and error I've got it down now and really liking the game. It's a Hack n' Slash with RPG elements. Check out some vids on YouTube if you have any interest in it.

I wasn't quite sure where to go though so I just ran around killing stuff haha. Seems like a solid game though, you'll have to let us know how it progresses. Modern wise I've just been assisting my youngest with Sonic Boom shattered Crystal. Just helping him across some of the trickier obstacles and such. It's fun watching him try it in 3D, he tries to touch the object on the screens. I guess that means it's working for him.

I finally bought one of the new 3DS XLs. It's very very nice. I'm still keeping my regular 3DS. I bought another Tomodachi Life game because apparently 99 Tomodachis aren't enough to keep up with for me, lol. And I wanted to be able to have my travelers to be able to go back and forth between my two islands. I also just bought Super Smash Bros. for 3DS. It's okay, so far, I'm just not used to this lack of items as on previous versions.

Star Wars: Battlefront.
Great looking game but compared to the original battlefronts which are 2 of my all time favourite games, theres not a huge heap of content here.

I know this is sort of borderline retro, but did anyone pick up the re-release of Super Star Wars on PSN today? It was supposed to have enhanced visuals and such though I'd imagine they were just some emulator-ish filter options. They added some neato achievements though.

Think of all the early 20 something's that downloaded this. I bet they are PISSED, lmao. If memory serves me correctly, those games have some absolutely brutal platforming. Actually I seem to recall someone spending like an hour and a half just trying to reach the top of the Sandcrawler, ha ha!

I finally beat Otogi couple nights ago. Overall I really enjoyed the game but man, it's can be REALLY frustrating. Made me realize that most of the hand holding games do now mostly started last generation. I'm sure some of it was my fault but some of it was straight up bullshit, lmao. Don't let that stop you from trying it out though, this was just my personal experience. Overall it was a very enjoyable game and I will be playing the sequel soon but think I'm going to switch gears to something more relaxed like Jet Set Radio or something similar.

Fallout 4 does no hand holding. There's a lot to figure out by yourself.

I've played about 8 Civilization V campaigns in 4 days. I think there's something terribly wrong with me, lol.

If I had a PC worth a damn I'd probably play too much Civ also.

Now is a good time to be grabbing stuff up on Steam. I'm not sure if the sale is still on, but you can get Civilization V complete for $12.49. It'd be worth it to buy it and download it later, at least.

Gunvalkyrie is turning out to be much more frustrating than Otogi by a long shot. Reading some reviews online would lead you to believe this is a garbage game but that's just not the case. The controls are nowhere near as difficult as people make them out to be. Does it take a bit to get used to? Yes, but the game gives you 2-3 pretty easy levels to let you adjust to them but that's it, lol. Then the game pretty much kicks your ass. Ive been stuck on 1 level for 2 days now. It's platforming hell! Spent about an hour making carefully calculated jumps thinking I was finally going to beat the level just to find a boss fight waiting for me, lmao. Guess I'll try again tomorrow...
