Games have some of the best music around! What tunes or soundtracks are you listening to right now?
I'm still on my battletoads kick so right now im listening to battletoads & double dragon. Some claim the snes version is better but in my opinion thats bogus. The genesis version sounds way better!

I tend to prefer the Genesis sound on Battletoads and Double Dragon too though it does sound good on the SNES too.
As for what I'm listening to, I've been playing Sonic Before the Sequel and it has some pretty amazing original music:

I finally figured out how to get Castlevania Bloodlines to work so I spent about half an hour listening to the sound test. It sounds so damn good run thru the SegaCD. I found there are 3 classic Castlevania songs in the sound test. One from each of the NES games. They are great songs already but benefit from a 16-bit sound upgrade.

You had to remove the 32X right? Is that what you told me?
That performance of the Crono Trigger opening is amazing!

Yeah, Bloodlines has to be my favorite Castlevania soundtrack. The chick who did the soundtracks name is escaping me at the moment but I know she also worked on Portrait of Ruin which is another favorite of mine in the series (and a bit underrated imo) pretty sure I read that she is doing the soundtrack for the kickstarter game.

As for what I'm listening to, I've been playing Sonic Before the Sequel and it has some pretty amazing original music: I played this game a while ago and never picked up on the nod to Star Light Zone tune from Sonic 1 around the 1:20 mark. Great stuff. To contribute something I tend to like the 'clunkier' sound that the Genesis that can produce (think Golden Axe or Altered Beast etc). These are 2 of my favourites:

Agree with that Truxton music. The Toaplan stuff on Genesis had great music. I'm a fan of Hellfire's music myself.

Has video game music ever popped into your head while doing something completely unrelated to video games?
For example:
I roll up to the drive through and as I'm browsing the various assortments of burgers this theme creeps into my head:
