Anybody still giving their 3DS some play these days?
My favorites are of course the 3D Sega re-releases. I'm probably going to download Streets of Rage 2 in the next few days. Of course I'm excited about 3D Sonic 2 as well. As far as 3DS cartridge releases, I've been playing Regular Show and Sonic Boom Shattered Crystal to get my platformer fix.
Here's my friend code. Let me know if you've added me and share your code as well so I can add you back.

I actually haven't played my 3DS in awhile. When I do play it I mostly put more hours into my Monster Hunter 4 character. I also play it for many of my favorite modern platformers such as Kirby, Donkey Kong, and Shovel Knight.
Next time I get on it i'll post my friend code. Honestly when it comes to handhelds I've mostly been playing my gamegear lol. Which btw I need to download some of the gamegear games onto my 3DS. If you got a few bucks to spend on a virtual console game I highly suggest Master of Darkness from the gamegear library.

I ordered me a copy of regular show the game for 3ds today. I tried it out on fist's 3ds and really enoyed it. If your lookin for something cheap and new to play on your 3ds the regular show and adventure time games are good pick ups. I got my copy for $4 and if you look hard enough some stores have both games in a bundle for $10-$12 bucks.

The 3DS library is pretty freaking amazing now. I hear a lot of people who don't own one say they have no idea what they would buy for it. Here are some titles that I've played for a couple of genres.
Fighting - Street Fighter 4: when you play this version most people will probably have a hard time believing it was a launch title. It's a surprising good port of the game. Graphics are amazing and all but 3 or 4 of the most recent characters are included.
RPG - Project X Zone: this game has a huge cast of characters from the Namco, Bandai, Sega and Capcom universe. It will remind some people of FF Tactics but only a little. The battle system is pretty fast paced and keeps things interesting.
Music - Final Fantasy Theatrhythm Curtain Call: that title is a mouth full but it's a really great music/rhythm game. With over 70 characters from over 20 Final Fantasy games to choose not to mention over 200 songs from the series this is a must own for any fan of Final Fantasy. If I'm not playing the game I sometimes just stick headphones in and enjoy the music!
Nintendo - anything from them is almost certainly going to be a winner. My suggestions are Kid Icarus: Uprising, New Super Mario 2, Luigi's Mansion, Smash Bros....you get the picture, lol

A friend is going to let me borrow their 3DS this weekend! I just have to try things out before I drop a lot of money on them. I have a good feeling about the 3DS though. For some reason I can already feel my money slipping away lol

If you decide to get a 3ds you can't go wrong with any of the models. The price on the standard 3ds has gone down alot and its perfect for slipping into your pocket if your out and about with it. The XL has much larger screens and is built different than the standard size. Price on them are around $170 to $200 new. Its an awesome version to have the only thing with it is you can still travel with it but its alot bigger to deal with. To go the cheapest route the 2ds is a great model as well. Its only downs are though is there is no 3d function on it and trying to take this thing out and about is a major hassle. The way its built is just a solid flat 3ds that doesnt fold up. After buying one its a great idea to buy some screen protectors and a case for it. Other than that it can do anything the other systems can do. I will say also its very comfortable the way its built. Either way you cant go wrong with any of them. Also their is the "new" 3ds but its just a XL with a c stick and a faster processor for faster load times and more ram on it i believe.

The one my friend lent me is an XL. I really like it but its too big to fit in my pocket so I dont think the XL is the one for me. I'm going to gamestop in the next day or so to see if they will let me mess around with one of the standard ones. Being able to take a handheld with me easily is an important factor when I choose a handheld lol.

I like the XL a lot, but then again I have giant pants so it can actually fit in mine haha. I feel the same way about portability though and that's one of the main reasons I passed for a long time on the psp and eventually the PS Vita. It seems like both require a sort of case in order to keep them safe in your pants. The only reason I'm more willing to carry about my psp is because I don't care for it as much because of it's age. That and it's pretty much just an emulator machine for me now anyway.

I forgot to mention that he will probably be asking for it back at any time so things that are shorter would be better. I dont want to get into a big quest only to leave it hanging until I can afford a DS.
He has all of them I believe. I'm going to use one of his save files just to run around and kill stuff. I dont think it will do any damage lol.

You can't go wrong with any of the Sonic 3DS titles, or regular DS for that matter. Also you know any Mario games are going to be good and probably just what you'd expect.
I love all the Sega 3D classics too if they have any of them downloaded, highly recommend all of them.

He didn't have any of those but I looked them up and they looked cool. Sadly I had to give the 3DS back today. Now starts my saving for one. With my usual spending habbits I should be able to afford one in the next 3 years or so
