Can blind jumps or leaps of faith be considered a hated enemy? I would agree. Any examples? I'm trying to think of some, but I'm having a brainmush kinda day. Donkey Kong Country comes to mind since I was playing it recently. If you want to get 100% of the secrets in this game it almost requires you to jump down holes on purpose in a trial and error fasion. In the beginning of the game they were better about leaving certain clues that might lead you to jump off a cliff on purpose to find a secret but as the game progresses it can get pretty random. What I hate worse are those games where you get to a point where there is nowhere else to go so you have to just try to jump off as far as you can and hope that you are about to land on solid ground. Tying to think of an example I'm just irked at donkey kong right now.

Talking about blind jumps and such, kinda related is when areas turn into cliffs if your not careful. Double dragon 3 is really bad about if you dont jump at the exact same time on 2 players to lower platforms whoever jumps first will die as if you fell down a cliff. Also in most games if your traveling up a stage like a tower or something if you try to go back down it counts as a cliff and you die.

I think that might be my one slight gripe with Spiderman GBA games, the blind jumps off buildings. At least you can whip out your website or cling to a wall, so it's not so bad. I don't know if you'd necessarily die if you didn't latch onto something, I haven't tried, but I'm sure it wouldn't be good, lol.

Haha you gotta love the waterfall stage in Sonic the Hedgehog for Master System. As the stage scrolls upward, the bottom of the screen is STRICTLY the line of death. Even if there was a platform an inch below you, if it's passed that edge of the screen consider it swallowed by the abyss. If you missed an item "let it go Indie....let it go."
