Donatello annoyed me. Could they have done more to force it down your throat that he's the "nerdy" one? Tony Shalhoub (sp?) is a fine actor but that was not a good Splinter voice. Yeah. I mean, it's Donatello, not Brainy Smurf. It should be, oh cool, awesome he knows that! Not, ugh, shut yer trap already. |

I agree that the new look for Donatello was pushing it a bit much. I'm really sick of how many times origin stories get repeated and the hand holding that hollywood tries to force on the movie goer. No one that doesn't know who the turtles are will be seeing this movie.
I feel really REALLY bad for Spider Man though. Its like he is trapped in his teenage years forced to watch his beloved Uncle die over and over again every few years.

Really if he just lost the glasses then i thought he would be fine. I dont mind all the gadgets cause thats who donatello is but the glasses were alittle too much imo.
The only reason they express the origin story so much in the turtles series is due to cross dimension storylines. Eastman has explained that all these new series and reboots of tmnt are simply another dimension to the turtles universe.

I just watched the first season of How to Get Away with Murder. It's alright. Just "obtained" the first 2 episodes of Brooklyn 99 new season last night. I'll probably watch them before bed tonight.

I'll be catching up on the Walking Dead today. I backed up and watched the series all over, and I'm on season 3. I am way behind, I've only seen up to halfway through 4, so I hope to be caught up soon. I already know most of the season 5 spoilers, for better or worse.

I watched a movie called Dragons of Camelot today. It was pretty good, other than looking like a bunch of somewhat sophisticated LARPers running around stabbing each other and watching arrows bounce harmlessly off dragons. Not bad for a random library shelf find, though.

I binge watched the first season of the Flash on Netflix and have been watching season 2 as it releases via Hulu. Really cool show with the pacing of a comic book. Now I'm not sure how accurate the story is to what is law in the comics but for me it's safe to say that it stands its own among the other shows in the TV DC universe. The DC comic-verse has gone through so many revamps and universe altering events throughout the years that I couldn't tell you who's who anyway now adays. I just know that I'm having a lot of fun watching it.
