Great choice, Headdy is a game I've got to pull the trigger on soon while its still cheap. Really surprised it's not on more people's radar since the recent "everything by Treasure should be expensive" kick eBay was going on for a while. I feel you on the PC Engine getting some attention on YouTube since you collect for it, that does suck. I'm convinced YouTube is directly responsible for skyrocketing certain game prices. A good example of this is when Fistofthewind and I watched Valis for MD/Genesis go from a $15 cart to a $40 cart and then back down to $15-$20 in more or less than 24hrs because of a mention on YouTube. I think Fistofthewind was watching a copy on eBay for around $15, the seller takes it down and re-lists it for over double that price, lol, so your worries are very much validated.
Fistofthewind you might need to clarify some of those details but that's more or less how I remember it happening, ha ha

"everything by Treasure should be expensive" I reckon this is because of Joe from Game Sack but to be fair hes not wrong. Wish id pulled the plug on gunstar but now its a 50 dollar loose cart! Edit: Looking at the price tracking, gunstar was averaging about 20-25 bucks loose for 5 years up until early 2014. Now its more than double. Will be interesting to see which ones jump next, wish there was an easy way to predict but thats what we can use this thread for

Are you referring to "Happy Console Gamer"? God that guy is obnoxious. Worse than Mike Matei. yeah him and Mark from CGR have covered some great games for the system recently. I can see why some might find HCG a little grating although he has a pretty similar taste in software to me so I dont mind him. Matei's vids are not my cup of tea though but each to their own.

Anything by Sega on the original Xbox. Lol, I know you guys are sick of hearing me talk about the Xbox but don't worry after the holidays I should be moved on to the Saturn or Dreamcast. Anyway, ahem* all of Sega's titles I've played so far are really good on the console. They have around a dozen I believe. I'm slapping this here because they are all dirt cheap. The Xbox just isn't that trendy right now so the masses of retrogame collectors are ignoring the library. Take advantage of this, how many times have we said we wish we could go back in time to pay 2003 prices right? That time is now for the Xbox.

Any you recommend to look for in particular? Also Saturn or Dreamcast? Which one are you leaning towards? I certainly have my preference but curious what yours is.

I'm still hunting around for Coast 2 Coast, that's the only one that's a little expensive but I'm hoping to run across it in the wild. Well guess I can only vouch for the ones I've played so far, Gunvalkyrie for sure. The controls take a bit to get used to but def pick that one up. I never hear anyone say anything negative about Panzer Dragoon Orta so it's probably a good one too. Sega GT is a great racer and usually comes packed with Jet Set. I really want to try out House of the Dead 3 with the Xbox light gun too! Ok, I'm rambling a bit now, lol, let me see if I can find a list of Sega games for the Xbox to post. Oh! Otogi and its sequel as well, lmao! Honestly I'm still not sure myself. The Dreamcast is probably the cheaper route but the Saturn is an untapped library for me. Grrrrr, if I had to choose right now it's Saturn I suppose.

Dreamcast is certainly cheaper and easier to find games for than the Saturn (unless youre in Japan). I prefer the Saturn personally as its a 2D powerhouse but the DC had some great hidden gems that are still very cheap like Toy Commander: and Coaster Works (build and ride roller coasters obviously):

I wonder if the new Star Wars movie will effect any of the more retro titles. For years everything 16-bit and back for star wars has been really affordable.

Sure it might. (How's that for indecisive responses?)
I wouldn't be surprised though.

Not a retro game but since most of us are 3DS owners I should let you guys know if you spy a copy of Kid Icarus: Uprising for a decent price grab it. It's a phenomenal game and as you guys have heard me say before possible my favorite for the 3DS. Well, people have caught on to how amazing it is (4 years after its release) and loose copy's are going for $40 at my local game shop and the going eBay rate looks to be anywhere from $45-$55. If you find it at a Mom and Pop store for anywhere around $20 def grab it, you won't be disappointed.
