Other than card games and more advanced fantasy board games what are some of your favorite mainstream board games? I'm talking about Clue, Monopoly, Game of Life and stuff like that. Since I mentioned it first I absolutely love Clue. In fact it might be my all time favorite board game. I like how there is a little more to it than most mainstream games but not so much that anyone cant just sit down and play with little explanation. I'm also a sucker for Battle Ship. Its kind of dumb in its simplicity but it is so addictive. Its a shame that movie wasnt better

I'm a sucker for a good gimmick. That's probably why Mouse Trap was always a favorite board game of mine. It's really simple but I never cared, I couldn't wait to set of that contraption. I've heard a lot of people complain that they could never get it to work. The one I had as a kid worked great. How about you guys? Did your Mouse Trap "Trap" work?

Yeah I remember setting up Mouse Trap. By the time we got it set up though we would just go ahead and trip it. The game itself kind of became an after thought haha. Grape escape was more fun to actually play as I recall. I think all the traps and such were already a part of the game board so it had minimal setup, aside from molding your grape dudes out of play dough before you started.

We gotta get us some tornado rex lol. Thats probably the one board game i put most of my time into. The up mountain board was really awesome and watching rex come down to annihilate everyone. NO ONE WAS SAFE!!!
Another game that was fun and also used the same game pieces as rex was dynamite bridge or something. I cant remember what it was called but you had to get across four bridges without them blowing up. Under each bridge had a pit like lava, acid, or gators. When those bridges blew up pieces went flying lol.

i remember my Mom got me "Don't wake Daddy" as a joke (I think anyway) one Christmas. RetroGeorge and I had more fun playing with the Dad that would shoot up out of bed than the actual board game, lmao. Don't wake Daddy or he's gonna beat your ass back to bed!!!

Lmao, yeah it's a board game. It was Milton Bradley or Parker Bros I think who made it. I even remember the T.V. Commercials for it. So many crazy board games back in the day.

Wow ok yeah I found the commercial on youtube. Interesting is being kind I think. For some reason it reminds me of that game where you have to put the litte shaped pegs into the right holes before the time ran out. For some reason I remember those commercials running back to back. I cant remember the name of it though!

Perfection! I think, lol, that was a fun one too but it would shoot the pieces all over the room. I'm pretty sure that's why everybody had missing parts to that game.

Perfection had some kick to it that's for sure. I remember testing the power of those springs by laying GI Joes on top of the completed board before even starting the timer. It was more than enough to fling them pretty far too.

I'd love to get back on some the game of life. The last time i played was with brandon and his brother. Whats hilarious is that me and brandon chose to go to college and brandons bro didnt and he destroyed us in that game becoming a rock star with six kids and millions of dollars. Course i think we lost cause we were laughing so hard lol.

Bah ha ha, that game can be hilarious. Especially when your little car is bogged down by like 10 kids.

I have some friends that will probably be in debt for life because of it.
