Kinda lookin for some hidden gem type titles. Ive actually made an offer to a guy on a copy saturday night slam masters just waiting to hear back. Probably just looking for some decent platformer games. G2K has a SNES copy of Alpha 2 for $20. Seems low for a late release game? Maybe not. Not exactly a hidden gem but unusual for sure. update: that's kind of a steal on Alpha 2, it's going anywhere from $40-$60 loose on eBay. I really don't understand G2K's retro pricing system but don't feel bad taking advantage of it, lmao

I will never understand g2ks pricing, employees, or entire company. Dude who was ringing me up today for my nes controller asked me if i was gonna play some super snes games... at first i thought he was joking but sure enough he was serious. I just wanted to say GD and walk out.
Surprisingly alpha 2 is one of the games that doesnt work on the retron 5. Its one of those that requires a future update that isnt ready yet.

I've heard Aero the Acrobat is a decent platformer going for anywhere between $6.50 - $10.00. Here's a 6.50 copy with free shipping on eBay, or 2 Dudes might have it, I was thinking I saw a copy, but I can't remember if that was at the flea market or at their store. pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=281962284559&alt=web

I know we've joked about it before but Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday is a pretty fun Platformer. I played it back in the day and loved it. Think Fist has played it more recently. He could probably tell you if it's worth what it's going for now. I'm not sure if it's an expensive cart, I wouldn't think so, it pretty much fits the bill as a hidden gem IMO.

Yeah thats about what im looking for, ive seen that game cheap at alot of places. Im just cant think of any games right now and alot of snes titles are jacked up in price even though they're thousands of copys. Thanks brandon for reminding me of that one.

Wanted to give you guys an update on the arcade stick.
Honestly I didn't like it at first. It has a really defined "square" gate that at first I found really odd and uncomfortable. Stuck with it for a few days and now I couldn't be happier. It has a good build, it's a nice size. It does what it's suppose to do and it does it well. What more can you ask for with a "beginners" arcade stick? For the price, I give the Mad Catz Aplha fightstick a thumbs up.

In the new gameinformer they actually gave it a bad review but it sounds more like whining instead of reviewing the actual product. Im like you brandon at first i was skeptical about some of it especially the size of the stick. Ive been use to larger sticks that cover my whole lap but now i love this little thing. When fist came over and we played a few matches he really enjoyed that stick when he tried it out. I took a shot at his te2 and lord that thing is huge and heavy lol. Its a superb arcade stick with the highest quality parts you can buy, i just dont know how these pro players haul this thing around at tournaments lol.

I haven't seen the new game informer yet, but I'm interested in what they said about the Alpha stick. The thing is with them is that if they weren't paid by a company to say it then they usually dont have anything positive to say about anything.

You can tell they didnt want anything to do with it since its just a small paragraph in the corner of the page. They complained about the design, how loud the buttons are, and the parts for it. I can understand the issue with parts, i actually had to replace some of mine but who fuck says stick buttons are too loud? I dont care what stick your using, it gets plenty loud when you in the middle of a match.

I'm creating an insulated, sound baffled joystick that is totally silent with my buddy Mike Kennedy.

Are they as loud as those ancient clackity keyboards from back in the day? I never pay attention to controller noise for some reason.

Its no louder than any other joystick or arcade cabinet thats ever been created. If your a game company and if you dont cut game informer a check to say your product is good, if they cant find anything bad about it they start making up shit. Thats why ive never liked game informer, they are bad about making up shit if they cant find anything bad. I caught first sight of this when they gave the first monster hunter game for ps2 a 3 out of 10 when every other legit company gave it game of the month. I respect any companies opinion to what they think about a game or product but you dont make up shit to purposely make it look bad.
