So for the past 5 years now we've been seeing amazing classic movies from the past comeback in new fashions. Some good, some bad, and some interesting in a different way.
One movie i want to point out that im actually very excited to see is the new ghostbusters. When i first heard it was gonna be an all female cast i was kinda worried until i saw the amazing cast. All these women are very talented in comedic and serious roles. Also after hearing dan akroyd was working behind the scenes and bill murray was gonna make an appearance i had no more worries lol. Also whats funny is recently i learned that since it was gonna be an all female ghostbuster team who was gonna be the Secretary? None other than Chris Hemsworth lol. I can picture it already with the jokes of him working for them and how hot he is and such. Anyway i feel like this movie is gonna be amazing and have the seriousness and comedy of the first films.
So what's your opinion guys? What movies out already or coming out thats been rebooted or retold?

Yeah I'm glad most of the hate for the Ghostbusters reboot has calmed down. I voiced my worries early on and have now taken the wait and see approach. Most of the buzz around the film has been positive so it certainly has the potential to be great.
On a related note I noticed that a quote from Dan is making its way around the interwebs. It's were he says the videogame is essentially the 3rd film. He made this statement years ago but it's just now making rounds for some reason and I'm glad. It seems to have calmed some of the haters down a bit (some of course) and honestly since the passing of Harold it just wouldn't be right to make another one with the original cast anyway.

Ghostbusters looks really good so far. I really like the new proton pack designs. It looks like something someone built in a garage or something, even more so than the original ones looked.
I haven't played the Ghostbusters game. the one Dan is talking about anyway. I think I played sanctum of slime or something and it was cool but nothing spectactular.

Well your in for a treat then! The videogame actually blew my expectations out of the water, it's really fun and has the original cast voice acting. It's supposed to be set in 1991 I think? A year or two after the battle with Vigo. It's pretty cheap now so grab it for PS3 or 360 if you see it out, don't think you will be disappointed.

Anyway, back on the subject. Been hearing rumors of a new Gremlins movie. I need to check just how far along it is but I think it's going to happen.

I'd love to see a new germlins movie. I hope its done right kinda like the new ghostbusters movie. I know its been changed around with a female cast but i have faith in the direction its going. As long as they keep a "go away michael bay" stick around it should be okay. Also keep away tim burton. I dont think a johnny depp gizmo would work :/.

Lmao, stay away Michael Bay stick His style (I think mostly by accident not choice) actually kind of worked for the Transformer movies but when it's applied to other things it's just kind of weird. I've actually heard ppl say when there watching TMNT it feels like a Transformers movie.

I kinda feel sorry for the actual director of the new tmnt movie cause all his work is overlaped by Michael Bays name. Anyway I really enjoyed the first movie and I can wait to enjoy the next one. So far the direction they are going looks pretty good. It'll be awhile before we see what bebop and rocksteady actually look like but check out their before mutation looks. They nailed those costumes!

You have no idea how happy I am to hear he's not working on the next one! Although I guess their kinda stuck with those strange character designs for the Turtles I have to agree these costumes are spot on!

I kind of liked the look of the turtles themselves. I mean if you crossed beefed up human and turtle DNA you'd probably get even worse looking monstrosities haha. I really dig how Raphael is freakin huge. Fits his personality.
And you know, I really didn't mind Meagan Fox in this one. She was kind of an eye sore in Transformers....like, you look too good to exist in that reality kind of eye sore.
Yeah it totally did feel like a Transformers movie, especially when they fought Megatro-I mean Shredder on the roof top.

Really when it comes to their looks mikey's face is the only one that bothers me. In this new one i would love to see more combat style scenes with them fighting foot soldiers instead of a huge michael bay scene. The snow scene chase was awesome but its not tmnt style all the time like you would see in transformers.

Did you know Paul Reubens is working on a Pee Wee's Playhouse movie coming later this year exclusive to Netflix? Now that bit of info just made my day! Hope Cowboy Curtis shows up too! Interesting bit of Trivia for you Paul Reuben's fans - before meeting the Russian model who would go on to play Gozer in Ghostbusters Director Ivan Reitman originally had Reuben's cast for the part. Makes you wonder what if? Ha ha
