Virtua Racing Deluxe will give you a full replay of your race. This doesn't seem like a big deal but it seems that could be a difficult thing to do but I'm just curious how they accomplished this. I don't think it has a back up battery because it doesn't save your best lap times or anything like that. Unless my copy has dead battery of course. Maybe it's not that complicated to do but it seems it would be on a cartdrige game. Thoughts? Not too complicated I think. It's not actually recording video or anything, just your controller inputs. So what it does is actually recreates the same race and just applies your controller inputs. Same way they do replays on fighting games today.

I remember Sonic Advance had a really cool Chao Garden. It was like a Tomagatchi pet but much better looking of course and more complex. Had 4 or 5 mini games you could play with it to up its stats. I remember having a link cable for it too but can't remember what I used it for on the GameCube.

Keeping a pack of CR2032 batteries on stand by for the next time you're in the area. In the mean time, my Chaos will be training hard.
We talking Sonic Adventure 1 or 2?

So Billy Mitchell tried to sue Cartoon Network for a character on Regular Show that he claims damaged his reputation...lmao! I read about it and it is hilarious, especially what the judge said during the final verdict. Essentially "the plaintiff is a human being and not a giant head from space. The plantiff also does not explode when his record is broken." Hahahaha.

Is anyone else blown away by the fact that the 16 bit Lion King games were made by Westwood Studios of Command & Conquer and Dune 2000 fame? I mean these guys pretty much pioneered the RTS genre while making a not bad disney tie in game at the same time.
RIP Westwood.

I love the Lion King game up to the point when you grow up. I like jumping on the enemies heads better than actually having a clawing match with them.

So I've got a new 32X on the way because my current one is on the way out. Fist rescued it from a storage bin at the back of a game store so it's hard to tell what this guy has been through. For example, when I took it apart to clean it I found what looked like the material they use to make seat belts super glued to part of the board! After removing said mystery fabric it worked perfect, lmao! Anyway, went ahead and removed the 32X from my set up until the new one arrives. Popped in MegaBomberMan for a quick game and I was really surprised in the difference on the displayed colors. I want to say the picture was more crisp but nowhere near as colorful as with the 32X attached. So there's a plus in the pro column for the 32X: it most definitely gives a more colorful picture.
Ive also heard that lag/slowdown is non existent when you have a 32X attached to your Genesis but since I've never played anything that I've had lag issues with I can't confirm that.
Question: does the 32X enhance colors on Sega CD games? I'm not sure how it exactly works but just wondering.

I know that there are games that encourage all the units to work together but I'm not sure if the 32X is bringing anything to the table when just the CD is in play. I believe you can remove the power supply on your 32X and still have your AV cables going through it and it wont effect the CD's play. We're gonna have to do some experimentation my friend. Might make for an interesting article.

Question: does the 32X enhance colors on Sega CD games? I'm not sure how it exactly works but just wondering. When you have a 32X plugged in, the system uses the video chip in this instead of the one in the Genesis. The sound chip in the genesis is still used as I dont think the 32X messes with the sound at all. This is handy when you have an early model one with the great soundchips but the not great graphic chips that cause all kinds of rainbow banding on screen. On the downside I dont think the 32X actually has the best graphics chip of all the Genesis' if I remember rightly but it beats most of them. If you really want to get the best picture you should look into upgrading to RGB scart. Its a format that was only really used in PAL regions but NTSC can output it if you get the right cable and a pricey upscaler to use on a HDTV. As for lag/slow down the best way to remove this is by overclocking the system, its a small mod but I wouldnt say beginner level that basically speeds the clock up from 7 to 10ish MHz. Not really worth it in my opinion.

It's that time of the year again! Time for "Dreamcast 2" petitions that is. Lord...as much as any of us would love to see Sega put all the chips on the table and make another go at the console market...it's just not going to happen. Honestly I just don't think Sega has enough cash to develop another console nor do they have any interest in doing so, no matter how many signatures they get. I gotta admit the most annoying part of these petitions are the fact they call it the Dreamcast 2. Sega would never call it that...idiots, lol.
