It is very silly. I can't really imagine what they could offer. A third high definition console with a handful of exclusive titles? Gamble on a gimmick, like cartridges or questionable VR tech? Maybe a console that comes with a handheld that compliment each other (I guess just copying WiiU)?
All those ideas seem needless or too likely to fail. Maybe some brilliant marketing mind needs to crack this conundrum.

Embarrassed confession time... I don't think the Dreamcast is that good.
One Analogue stick means the auto camera makes me want to vomit in half the games.
Please dont ban me.

lol yea a lot of DC games have dated control schemes that don't hold up well. that's what I always say about N64, but I catch a lot of grief over that opinion. plus N64 graphics don't hold up too well in my book (also unpopular opinion)

All the textures look like a jpeg that failed to completely load or something. I'd rather something look really pixelated than just fuzzy or however it is you want to describe it. For me, no matter how you have one set up it always looks like you're running it through an RF unit on the most ancient tv you can find.

I'm pretty sure Otogi and Gunvalkyrie were originally going to be Dreamcast games because neither of those games use the second analog stick on the Xbox controller. They slapped a "look" mode on them but that's all they do, you don't actual use them to control what direction you want to go. It works just fine in Gunvalkyrie but not so much in Otogi but I got used to it and it didn't bother me that much.

I wish someone would take a crack at clones for more of the cd based systems. You can get upteen million kinds of devices that will play nes snes and genesis cartridges.
I doubt we will ever see Sega get back into hardware. I mean why would you when you can spread your games across three different platforms for more profit.
What I think they should do is license out the rights of the dreamcast bios or code or whatever to a 3rd party to make a 3rd party player. Even then though I don't know that there is enough draw for it. I mean most people that collect for Dreamcast probably still have their dreamcast. It would take a device that was compatible with sega cd and Saturn as well in order to sell me one. I'm rambling sorry.

Your wish may soon be a reality. I read somewhere there was some kind of kickstarter type thing that uses a rasberry pi with a disc drive that will basically emulate all the old systems providing you can get the BIOS files for a few of them. Even stuff like Jaguar CD and Amiga CD. Only downside I can see is youre still emulating but whatever if it works good I'd think about it.

lol 18 consoles in one. No emulators. I got kind of scared seeing the inside of that thing. What he did with the power regulation and cooling was very clever. I've always wondered why anyone didn't just take the guts of all their consoles and put it inside a single box but after reading that I realize there is a lot more to it than that.
I think if I attempted anything remotely similar to this I would set the building on fire

So this is awesome, if anyone had a chance to try out Transformers Devastation it was a pretty good game. It was a action packed hack and slash style game with a huge nod to the original 80s show. Kinda tough at times but still a game worth having. Well platinum games who made Transformers has just released a trailer for their new tmnt game based off of the current comics. Imo it looks promising!

I've been watching Devastation on Amazon waiting for it to go to $20... I just worry it becomes repetitive fast

I've been watching Devastation on Amazon waiting for it to go to $20... I just worry it becomes repetitive fast i have to say right when you think its gonna get repetitive it changes it up with different unique missions alot. You can go from brawling in one mission to a high speed chase shooter on a bridge. My complaint about this game is the setting. About 85% of this game takes place in this generic city. $20 is a great price for what it is. Its not a very long game either but between the gameplay, cutscenes, and corny story (which fits right in with the original G1 plots lol) this makes for a great about 8 out of 10 game.
