Let's talk about franchises that you guys would like to see revived. More recent games and old games welcome to the discussion.
Medievil: I friggin loved these games. I know the camera can be a bit of a pain but if your able to overcome it your in for a treat. A wonderful action series for the PS1. I always loved the premise behind these games as well, Sir Dan was immortalized as a hero by the King of Gallowmere when in reality he was killed by the first arrow in a great battle. Now your back from the dead and can finally live up to your legend by defeating the evil Zarok and restoring peace to the land. The game is full of cheesey jokes and puns but it completely works for the style of the game. I have no idea why Sony has never done anything else with this series since 2005. I know he made an appearance in Sony's Smash Bros clone but I want another Medievil game!

Has their been anything worth knowing out of the Castlevania franchise lately? Last time I saw one it looked like a Heavenly Sword or God of War clone...

I was getting ready to say, Castlevania can now be included on this list thanks to Konami's recent reshaping I would have loved for there to be an Alisia Dragoon sequel back in the day, but honestly I'd rather the original just be immortalized instead of someone taking a crack at "bringing it to 3D." The Valis series seriously needs to make a come back. The last major releases were unfortunately hentai games as a last ditch effort to make Telenet some quick cash. This caused a back lash though and seriously insulted the fans. I mean, most of us that like Valis appreciate the cheese cake outfits but we never asked for full blown hentai. Just insulting. Fortunately there have been some mobile releases but these were back in the flip phone days. It'd be nice if someone reworked them for a multi platform console release.

Been playing Legend of Oasis this evening and was reminded that it's criminal that they no longer make Oasis games. It's a criminally overlooked series to boot.

New Oasis game on the 3DS...? Man that would be cool. Would make sense too since Nintendo wants all ActionRPG's other than Zelda to be on the 3DS.

How about a new EarthWorm Jim? If EWJ 3D taught us anything it's that the game doesn't transfer to 3 dimensions all that well. Just release a pretty looking 2-D game on PSN and XBLA. Please? Someone? Ha ha!

I think a port of Legend of Oasis for 3DS would be really sweet. There are a lot of parts in that game that would really benefit from the 3D effect. Instances where it totally looks like you can jump over to a certain ledge because the ground is the same color you're standing on but when you leap for it you soon discover that it was actually higher than it looked. Adding depth with the 3D would make the game a lot easier to traverse.

I am 100% sold on 3-D Oasis. (Insert "shut up and take my money" meme)

Well it's been on my mind so I figured might as well throw it on the pile: "MegaMan Legends"
Now I'm not really up to date on what happened to the 3rd game but I know (or think I should say) they had gotten into the development before the plug was finally pulled. It still doesn't make any sense why Capcom wouldn't want the cash return on a final installment on one of the more interesting and different MegaMan stories. While it seemed a really cutesy installment by the end of the first game you discover the is a bit more deep and complex than its easy going facade. The 2nd game in the series only gave us more questions than answers and definitely left the fans with a cliffhanger. I know this will probably never happen but hey, I can dream right!? If Shenmue 3 can happen there is still a bit of hope, ha ha! I don't see fans raising 6 million or whatever for Legends though...

It's hard to say what exactly happened there, but I'm sure it had to do with the fear that the game just wouldn't sell. The MML3 demo released when the 3DS was in its awkward stage and hadn't really taken off, so the number of downloads wasn't what they were hoping for. The sad thing with this generation is that I'm not sure a big Mega Man release is viable anymore either. Not unless you do a Mega Man 11 with a small team (and likely hire it out 3rd party again). I think people these days are more happy with Mega Man being on t-shirts and as collectibles than in new games. I mean sure, people request Mega Man of Capcom all day every day but what ultimately counts is the vote you make with your wallet and judging from sales of Mega Man 10 it's probably not a risk they're willing to take.

I'd like to see a lot of SNK properties come back other than the King of Fighters series. I've always liked Metal Slug more than Contra and...
Why hasn't there ever been another Magician Lord??
