I know we have a lot of collectors and I'm sure you guys can usually name your favorite rare or expensive game from your collection. But what about your favorite common game? I'm talking the Super Mario Worlds and Sonic 2s of the world, you know the games that everyone with a certain console will undoubtedly own.

Yes I think so! And good one. I dont play it often but whenever I pick up any of the punch outs to play a few matches I usually end up playing nothing but that game for the following days.

I think most of my favourite games are common games. They became common because everyone bought them because they were so good . Turtles in Time is priced like an uncommon/rare but it sold very well. Other than that: Super Mario World, Super Mario 3, Street of Rage 2 can all be had around 20$ and are among my favourites.

I of course love the Genesis Sonic series, the 16 bit versions of the Street Fighter series, Streets of Rage, and you can't go wrong with the Mario series for nes.
It's really hard to pick an absolute favorite. You have to put your mindset in that deserted island mode haha. I'm wrestling between Beyond Oasis and Sonic 3 & Knuckles, with the edge kind of leaning towards S3&K. I would imagine all the food you encounter in Beyond Oasis would make for a depressing deserted island experience.

The good ol' 2's - Streets of Rage, Mario, Sonic, MegaMan all great cheap games. Aladdin for the Genesis is usually only a couple of bucks and is a lot of fun and still looks great today. It's usually one of the games I suggest people pick up when they are starting a collection. Can't explain why but I love Ballon Fight on the NES. It just never gets old to me.

Glad to see someone else with a love for Mario 2. Er...the easy/dream factory version anyway. It's one of my all time favorite Mario titles pretty much because it's so different from the others in the series.
