HOLY HELL!!! I know everyone on this site is pretty much done with the vgs coleco Frankenstein of shitty systems thingy but this shit tops the bar of wtf lol. Check out the new cupodcast and listen to what they did at toyfare 2016. You guys know that toyfare is a huge deal, we use to read the mags all the time when we were younger. Anyway watch the vid. This thing is like the scam that refuses to die. What I want to know is, just how much money do these guys have in order to invest in these continued shenanigans? I mean, they haven't seen a single amount in return yet. Or at least I don't think so. You don't get any of your kickstarter money unless it is a success right?  |

Hey ive got a ps1 shell at my house somewhere, does that mean i can electrical tape that around a atari 2600 and call it a prototype? The ataristation (do not steal) is born!!! Brb im going to kickstarter to make money on this thing!!!

I don't think COLECO exists anymore. That's why their using the name, they don't have to pay anybody for it. This has gotten so embarrassing I'm thinking this has to be some kind of prank. A few days ago when they posted the pics on Facebook thru a clear shell I was shaking my head. Why would you do that unless you had something to hide? Why wouldn't you just show a picture of the board itself? |

The root of thr problem might be how much that molding equipment costed them haha. I would have let all this go as a failed business venture long ago and started selling multicolored Jaguar casings to the few collectors of that system.

Man this thing is getting ugly. Apparently Pat posted a "fuck you" video when this DVR board picture came out and called some ppl out including Gamester 81. Im not going into details, you guys can find the videos if your interested but I just hate to see it go to this level. Just nasty stuff.

It's a dirty project that's for sure. I dont think I would have gotten that pissed about it. At the same time though, Pat actually has a platform and the popularity for his voice to be heard on this thing. So maybe to an extent ot was called for.
Just think if they had applied all this money and time to actually making a prototype it would have been done by now haha.

LMFAO I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN!!! Coleco holdings has pulled the plug on the coleco chameleon due to them failing to produce a real prototype. After the whole dvr board scandal coleco holdings said look you have 7 or 9 days to present an actual real working finished prototype or were pulling the name. Sure enough they had nothing so its done, this shit storm vgs frankenturd is finally dead. Coleco holdings cameout and said they are no longer licensing the name to this system and will only work with companies who basically got their shit together. People who were associated with the project through retro magazine are resigning to keep safe from this console embarrassment.
